Terms & Conditions

Read below for all information and terms pertaining to ordering Grieve equipment and replacement parts.

PAYMENT TERMS

All Grieve web orders will be settled via credit card payment. Visa and MasterCard are acceptable credit cards for payment.

SHIPPING

Online Replacement Part Orders
  • Replacement parts orders can be placed online for the continental United States. Contact us for replacement parts orders outside of the continental U.S.
  • UPS Options Include: Ground, Next Day, 2-day,  Next Day Early AM in certain areas and, Next Day Saturday delivery
  • Orders weighing over 80 lbs. – Estimated by the Grieve customer service team after your order is placed.
  • Pay Carrier on Delivery – Option is not available. 
Equipment Orders
  • Equipment orders are placed through request quote and customer service only
  • UPS options include: For Laboratory Ovens only: Ground, Next Day, 2-day, Next Day Early AM in certain areas and, Next Day Saturday delivery
  • Orders weighing over 80 lbs. – Estimated by the Grieve customer service team after your order is placed
  • Additional option: Shipments can also be customer routed (shipped via customer carrier collect)
  • Pay Carrier on Delivery – Option is not available.

Based on present conditions, GRIEVE estimates shipment can be made as shown, subject, of course, to any U.S. Government restrictions. Shipping dates are approximate and based on prompt receipt of all necessary information by GRIEVE at its factory.

DAMAGED OR LOST SHIPMENTS

GRIEVE shall not be liable for loss of use or for any direct or indirect, special or consequential damages, including without limitation lost profits, resulting from delays caused by Acts of God, fire, strike, civil or military authority, insurrection or riot, delays of carriers, subcontractors or suppliers, voluntary or mandatory compliance with any government act, regulation or request, shortage of labor, materials for manufacturing facilities or for any other cause beyond its reasonable control.

UPS, FedEx Air, other package carriers shipped Prepay & Add and Prepaid Truck Shipments (GRIEVE carrier): Check your order immediately upon arrival. All damages must be noted on delivery receipt. All shortages and damages must be called into GRIEVE customer service at 847-546-8225 within 7 calendar days. All damaged containers and merchandise must be kept for truckers to inspect.

Truck Shipment (when you select the carrier): Check your order immediately upon arrival. All damages must be noted on delivery receipt. All damages must be called in to the trucker you chose within 7 days. All damaged containers and merchandise must be kept for your trucker to inspect. At that time, you will file a claim with your trucker.

TAXES

Please note that sales taxes have not been added into your order upon checkout. Applicable sales taxes will be included when processing your order at Grieve and, communicated back to you prior to shipment. If a valid tax exemption ID is provided upon checkout then, no sales tax will be charged.

Prices are subject to any addition which may be necessary to cover any tax or charge now existing or hereafter imposed by Federal, State or Municipal authorities upon equipment or services herein described, or the production, sale, distribution, or delivery thereof, or upon any feature of this transaction.

EQUIPMENT / PARTS ORDER STATUS

Upon placing an order on the website for replacement parts, you will receive a temporary order number. Once the order is confirmed, you will receive an official shop order number via email. You can look up the status of your order using your official shop order number (received via email) using the Order Status Tool or you can login to your account.

A shop order number will be emailed to each customer after the order for oven or furnace has been entered into our system. The email correspondence will include any changes in taxes, lead time and shipping, if applicable. Please use your shop order number to track progress with our Order Status Tool.

CANCELLATION

Orders are not subject to cancellation without Grieve’s written consent and then only upon Purchaser’s agreement to compensate Grieve for loss caused by such cancellation.

RETURNS

Except as otherwise provided, no material will be accepted for return after 30 days from the date of shipment. Contact GRIEVE customer service at 847-546-8225 for a return authorization number. A minimum of a 20% restocking fee will be charged due to customer order errors.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN

GRIEVE does not provide country of origin for spare parts orders.

INSTALLATIONS

All apparatus shall be installed by and at the expense of the Purchaser unless otherwise stipulated. GRIEVE may furnish, at its option, engineers to supervise the installation and starting of the apparatus, under such terms as are agreed.

WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF REMEDIES

Any replacement parts sold by GRIEVE are warrantied for 90 days from the date of shipment.

Any equipment (Ovens and Furnaces) sold, by GRIEVE, is warranted for one year from the date of shipment to be free from defects of material and workmanship. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF; WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, GRIEVE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE PURCHASER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE FOR THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT (AT GRIEVE’S OPTION) OF THE DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT OR PART. Parts under warranty are shipped via UPS ground service. Express shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. In order to obtain repair or replacement under this warranty, the user must deliver the defective product or part to GRIEVE’s factory on a prepaid basis promptly after discovery of the defect. GRIEVE’s warranty ceases to be effective if the equipment is altered or modified, repaired other than by persons authorized by GRIEVE, misused, used by any person in an unsafe or unreasonable manner or used other than in accordance with “GRIEVE’s” written instructions. Although GRIEVE makes no additional or extended warranty with respect to thermostats, recorders, control equipment or other accessories, to the extent such items may also be warranted by their respective manufacturers, those warranties are passed on to you by GRIEVE as agent of the respective manufacturer and not as a separate warrantor.

In no event shall GRIEVE be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages hereunder, whether such damages are sought based on breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability in tort, or any other theory of legal liability.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

While the website does not allow for international orders outside of the continental United States, we can handle these transactions offline.
